An excellent opportunity for a Head of Engineering to join a market leading SaS product house. Sitting on the senior management team, you would be responsible for growing, leading and managing a high-performing global tech team that is delivering high-quality software at speed. Strong collaboration with Head of Product to define and deliver a robust product road-map to meet business objectives and deliver an outstanding service.

Role/ Responsibility

• Lead existing global development team and look to increase headcount by 8 people over next 12 months.
• Work closely with Head of Product to define and deliver the product road-map
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve Product and Tech KPIs
• Define a strong culture that ensures that your team are happy in their roles and employee retention is high
• Work with your Lead / Senior Engineers to define and maintain a separate technical roadmap with the aim of increasing velocity, fostering innovation, maintaining adequate security and managing technical debt.
• Ensure everyone in your department is always learning with consistent use of code reviews, pair programming, brown bag lunches, targeted employee training & sprint retrospectives.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior leadership position
• Minimum 8 years of experience in hands on software engineering and project delivery within agile environment
• Experience in and knowledge of all technical disciplines (not just software development)
• Experience managing remote teams
• Experience in growing inexperienced technical employees into strong, senior members of the team
• Experience in identifying and nurturing potential technical leaders
• Experience of managing budgets and business-planning
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skill
